Get on the H-1 Freeway WEST-bound.
Take it to exit 8A which is the H-2 NORTH

Take the H-2 NORTH until it ends. Just stay on the highway until it becomes a 2-lane road.

Go one and a half miles to the split in the road.

By the way, during that mile and a half, you will drive past Scholdfield Barracks, which can back up with traffic in the mornings. We recommend if you hit traffic after the H-2 ends, stay in the right lane as the left lane turns into the Barracks.

OK, back to directions. A mile and a half after the highway ends, you will come to a split in the road where you have to go either LEFT towards WAIALUA / DILLINGHAM AIRFIELD or RIGHT towards NORTH SHORE.

GO LEFT TOWARDS WAIALUA/DILLINGHAM AIRFIELD. (DO NOT go towards North Shore. Its the long way).

If you were looking at a map, the next 6 miles after you veer LEFT towards WAIALUA is designated as Hwy 803;
(but there are NO 803 signs posted) – dont worry

Hwy 803 is a 6-mile stretch of road; 3 miles of straight; 3 miles of windy downhill.

At the beginning of the windy-road, you are at 500-ft elevation and at the base of the hill, you are at 20-foot elevation. As you descend the hill, you will be able to see the North Shore coast-line and off to your LEFT will be the Waianae Mountain Range. Unless visibility is limited by darkness, cloud-cover or haze you will be able to see where the mountain tapers-off. That is about the location of Dillingham Airfield, on the way to the northwestern tip of the island, Kaena Point.

At the end of the windy road and at the base of the hill you will go under a yellow flashing traffic light (not to be confused with a few yellow flashing lights on the windy 803 to warn you of sharp curves ahead).

The yellow flashing traffic light is the intersection of Hwy 803 and Hwy 930.

GO STRAIGHT THRU the intersection.

You are now on Hwy 930.

Continue ahead for about a half mile and the road will split again.
VEER LEFT, and then IMMEDIATELY to the RIGHT so that you go under the bridge (look for the bridge, its a great landmark).

Just before you veer right to go under the bridge, there is a road sign for MOKULEIA, and next to it, a small graphic sign with an airplane pointing you off to the right.

You are still on Hwy 930 (Farrington Hwy), continue

By the way, if you miss this intersection, about a mile up the road you will end up at ALOHA gas station on your right. (This is a good place to get a cup of coffee). If you see this, turn around and come back down the road and look for the bridge. It will be on your right.

Once you go under the bridge, the WEST GATE to Dillingham Airfield is exactly 6.2 miles past the bridge.

Dillingham Airfield is a 2-mile-long airstrip, parallel to the highway, with a chain-link perimeter fence-line.
There are 3 entrances to the Airfield.
Entrance #1 is for the SKYDIVE activities.
Entrance #2 is 1.5 miles past the skydive entrance. It has a big yellow reflective sign that says GLIDERPORT.
Entrance #3 is a quarter mile past the Gliderport entrance. It has a yellow reflective sign that says WEST GATE.

Turn in (left) at the WEST GATE .

Go about a quarter mile and you will see a parking lot on your left hand side. It is a medium sized parking lot that holds about 60 cars, but it should be mostly empty. Park there. When you do, you will be right next to two rows of white hangars. If you walk right down the middle of the two rows of white hangars, the Paradise Air hangar is the second one on the right.

It doesnt have a door, so you can walk right in. Youll see photos of ultralights on the walls and a blue carpet and seating area off to the right.

If were not there right when you arrive, make yourself at home well be landing in just a few minutes. Sometimes we may be delayed on the flights prior due to weather, so just know that if were not right there when you get there, we wont be long.

Also, the bathrooms are on the ends of each hangar building (between the parking lot and our hangar). In addition feel free to walk up to the towers lanai (balcony) for a nice view of the runway. ?
